Cosmetology - 2,300 hours
The Cosmetology Program is made up of coursework in Hair Design, Nail Technology, and Esthetics. The curriculum for students enrolled in the Cosmetology Program consists of technical instruction and practical training cover all aspects of artistry in hairstyling, thermal hairstyling, permanent waving, chemical straightening, haircutting, hair coloring and bleaching, artificial hair, chemistry, electricity, safety, sanitation, scalp treatments, facials, eyebrow arching and hair removal, make-up, manicuring and pedicuring. Career and employment information including professional ethics, decorum, effective communication and human relations, salesmanship, compensation packages and payroll deductions, record keeping, client service records and licensing requirements and regulations.
Esthetics (Skin Care) - 600 hours
The curriculum for students enrolled in the Esthetics Program consists of technical instruction and practical training covering all aspects of esthetics including the study of skin, its disorders, functions, treatments and enhancements, Classic and European Facials, facial manipulation/massage, skin analysis, specialty treatments, makeup, and hair removal.
Hair Design - 1,700 hours
The curriculum for students enrolled in the Hair Design Program consists of technical and practical training covering all practices of blow-drying, dispensary, finger waving, hair coloring, haircutting permanent waving and chemical straightening, reception desk training, salon management, scalp treatments, shampooing, rinses, skipwaving, thermal straightening, curling (marcelling), wet hairdressing, wigs and hairpieces and modeling.
Nail Technology - 600 hours
The curriculum for students enrolled in the Nail Technology Program consists of technical instruction and practical training covering all laws, rules and regulations covering the practices of a manicurist; training on all aspects related to, health and safety/hazardous substances, safety regulations and laws, injury and prevention of disease, nail care related chemistry, ergonomics, disinfection and sanitation, bacteriology, anatomy and physiology, manicuring and pedicuring, performing water and oil manicures, hand and arm massage, communication skills, professional ethics, salesmanship, decorum, record keeping and client service records.
